About The Sally Ann Room

I have spent a lifetime noticing things. A little brass box on a table of junk, a decanter with the wrong stopper, a chair that has been painted six times and is still lovely underneath — somehow my eye goes straight to the one object in the room that is worth far more than it looks.

So that is what I do. Estate sales, country auctions, church bazaars, clearing-out sales and the backs of shops nobody bothers with: I go, I look, and I carry home whatever made me stop. Some of it is proper antique. Some of it is simply odd and wonderful and not something you see every day. All of it was chosen one piece at a time, by hand.

Every piece here is one of a kind. There is no second one in the back. The photographs are my own, taken exactly as the piece is — marks, repairs, honest wear and all — because I would rather you know precisely what you are getting.
